Saratoga Springs
You have probably always loved the Saratoga area as an outstanding getaway
spot for its beautiful scenery and outstanding recreation. And if you
like to make golf part of your plans, you have got to take on Saratoga
Lake Golf Club carved in the midst of a lush forest. You are just 15
minutes from downtown Saratoga Springs but you are really back-to-nature
here.
The course is comprised of 200 acres of hilly terrain with a stream
running through the middle of the course, with sparkling ponds and
beautiful wetlands. You'll be playing through a landscape with a natural
feel, created by thick stands of pines and hardwoods. It is as if you
are in the middle of a national forest. When you stand on the deck of our
pro shop, you can see 18 miles away to the Southern Adirondacks.
This picturesque course on the south end of Saratoga Lake offers lots
of elevation changes. It is truly a shotmaker's course designed for
golfers who like to use all their clubs. It is not extra-long shots that
succeed here, it is shots that are carefully placed. The layout was
designed by Michael Ingersoll of the LA Group and opened for play in 2000.
